Timbers win MLS is Back  Tournament with 2-1 win over Orlando

They did it.

The Portland Timbers won the MLS is Back Tournament with a 2-1 win over Orlando City SC.

The Timbers claim a spot in next year’s CONCACAF Champions League as well as $300,000 in prize money.

Portland took a 1-0 lead in  the 27th minute thanks to Larrys Mabiala heading in a service from Diego Valeri on a free kick.

Orlando equalized before halftime, but Portland found the winner in  the 66th minute, off a Valeri corner kick.  Eryk Williamson collected and his shot resulted in Dario Zuparic punching home the scramble for the winner.
