The NFL playoff picture through week 10

The NFL season marches on and, here in week 10, the playoff picture is beginning to take shape.

If the season ended today, the AFC would see the Chiefs (7-2), Dolphins (7-3), Titans (6-3), Ravens (6-3), Jets (6-3), Bills (6-3), and Patriots (5-4) make the postseason. The Bengals (bye) and Chargers (vs. 49ers) both sit on the bubble at 5-4.

The Patriots hold on the final wild card spot is tenuous. The combined win percentage of their first nine opponents is .465. Their final eight opponents? .595.

The  NFC would see the Eagles (8-0), Vikings (8-1), Seahawks (6-4), Buccaneers (5-5), Giants (7-2), Cowboys (6-3), and 49ers (5-4) reach the playoffs. The Commanders (vs. Eagles) and Packers (vs. Titans) sit on the bubble, needing a strong finish to reach the postseason. Green Bay is coming off of a strong win over the Cowboys

The NFL is known for parity, but this season is shaping up to be an even wilder finish than usual.
