POSTPONED: Timbers season-opener vs SKC moved to Mon. Feb. 27th

The Portland Timbers will have to wait another 48 hours to begin their 2023 regular season.

Due to weather concerns in the Portland area, the Timbers regular season opener vs Sporting Kansas City is being moved to Mon., Feb. 27th at Providence Park.  The game will now kickoff at 7:00 p.m. and can be heard on 750 The Game and streaming for free on 750TheGame.com and via your smart speaker.

The match was originally scheduled for this Saturday night for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff prior to the postponement.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Due to severe winter weather in the Portland area, Major League Soccer today announced that the Portland Timbers’ first match of the 2023 season against Sporting Kansas City at Providence Park has been postponed to Monday, Feb. 27.

Previously scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25 with a 7:30 p.m. (Pacific) kick off, Portland’s home opener will now kick off at 7 p.m. (Pacific) Monday at Providence Park.

Tickets originally bought for Saturday will be honored for Monday’s match. All Timbers matches will be streamed live on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app in English and Spanish.
