Oregon State Tackle Taliese Fuaga In The Top 10 Of Daniel Jeremiah’s Mock Draft 2.0

By 750 THE GAME STAFF

Daniel Jeremiah is one of the most respected mock draft forecasters out there. He is as locked in as anyone. So when Jeremiah drops his latest mock draft it is something to pay attention to. Jeremiah will end up putting out four mock drafts, but on Tuesday he released his mock draft 2.0.

In a lot of mocks Oregon quarterback Bo Nix has been seen in the first round. In his first mock draft, Jeremiah had Nix going No. 14 overall to the New Orleans Saints. Interestingly, though, Jeremiah doesn’t have Nix going in the first round of his 2.0 mock.

Instead, it is a star from Oregon State that takes the headlines in Jeremiah’s mock draft 2.0. Here is where the players from the state of Oregon land.

No. 10, New York Jets

Taliese Fuaga, OL, Oregon State

The Jets will be looking for ways to protect quarterback Aaron Rodgers after Rodgers tore his Achilles last season. And with the No. 10 pick in the draft Jeremiah thinks Oregon State Taliese Fuaga would be the perfect fit.

“I tried to connect different players to the Jets, but I keep coming back to the same one. Fuaga is a plug-and-play right tackle.”

No. 19, Los Angeles Rams

Jackson Powers-Johnson, Interior OL, Oregon

A riser on a lot of draft boards, Powers-Johnson seems like a very safe pick for a team with a specific need. Jeremiah thinks it’s a perfect fit for Sean McVay’s offense in LA.

“The Rams get one of the steadiest players in the draft. Powers-Johnson can anchor their offensive line for the next decade.”

No. 32, Kansas City Chiefs

Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon

Even though the Chiefs won the Super Bow, there is a need for another playmaker who can catch the ball. That is exactly what Troy Franklin can do according to Jeremiah.

“The Chiefs get a big-time vertical complement to 2023 rookie sensation Rashee Rice.”
