Oregon State Gets A 7:00 p.m. Kickoff At California In Week 6 On Pac-12 Network

By 750 The Game Staff

The 19th-ranked Oregon State Beavers have a massive home game this Friday night with Kyle Wittingham and the 10th-ranked Utah Utes (6:00 p.m., FS1).

That is the best Pac-12 matchup of Week 5, and on Monday the conference released kickoff times and television assignments for Week 6.

Oregon State visits Justin Wilcox and the California Golden Bears on Sat. Oct. 7th. The game will kickoff at 7:00 p.m. and be televised on the Pac-12 Network.

The No. 9 Oregon Ducks have a bye week in Week 6 following their visit to Stanford this Saturday, Sept. 30th (3:30 p.m., Pac-12 Network).

The Beavers are 3-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play after a tough 38-35 road loss to then-No. 21 Washington State, who rose five spots to No. 16 in the latest AP Poll. Oregon State hosts unbeaten Utah on Friday night in Reser Stadium; the Utes defense smothered true freshman Dante Moore and the UCLA offense for a 14-7 victory in their conference opener. Utah also has wins over Florida and Baylor as well as Weber State.

So far this season, Oregon State has played on CBS, Pac-12 Network, FS1, and FOX. Saturday’s game at WSU was the Beavers’ first televised game on FOX since a road game at Stanford in November 2012.

Friday night will be the second FS1 game of the year for the Beavers, while the following week brings the second Pac-12 Network game of the year at California.

The only other Oregon State game with an already assigned date and television network is the game formerly known as the ‘Civil War’ — the possible last edition of the Beavers-Ducks in-state rivalry game — Fri. Nov. 24th in Eugene. The game will be televised on FOX with a 5:30 p.m. kickoff.

After the Oct. 7th game at Cal, Oregon State hosts Chip Kelly and UCLA before hitting their bye week. After the bye, the Beavers have consecutive road games at Arizona and Colorado before a pair of home games with Stanford and current No. 7 Washington, followed by the game with the Ducks.
