Jordan Pope, sophomore guard and leading scorer this past season at Oregon State, is entering the transfer portal, he announced Tuesday on social media.

Pope played two seasons in Corvallis and averaged 17.6 points per game this past year. Oregon State finished 13-19 overall, 5-15 in conference play, last in the Pac-12 standings in the conference’s final season.

His game-winning, buzzer-beating three-pointer on Jan. 25th against No. 9 Arizona was the highlight of the Beavers season. He had 31 points on the night and gave Beaver Nation a joyous memory for an otherwise difficult year, a consistent theme for OSU since their magical run to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament in 2021.

Pope is the latest player to announce his transfer from Wayne Tinkle’s program. Earlier Tuesday, center KC Ibekwe announced his decision to enter the portal, and guard Jayden Stevens did the same earlier in the offseason, as have a few others.
