Oakland A’s Receive Permission to Explore Relocation; Portland on List?

ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported today that Major League Baseball suggested to the Oakland A’s that they look into moving to a new city if they don’t get approval from local government on a new stadium:

This news is sure to perk the ears of the Portland Diamond Project, who are working to bring Major League Baseball to Portland, either through relocation or expansion. Other teams potentially in the running for the A’s include Las Vegas, Charlotte, Montreal, and Vancouver.
