Ducks Leading Rusher Bucky Irving Heading To The NFL

The Oregon Ducks are going to have to replace numerous pieces on the offensive side of the ball. With all of the Seniors gone. On Monday, Jackson Powers-Johnson announced he will be heading to the NFL.

Also on Monday the Ducks leading rusher Bucky Irving announced that he will also be heading to the NFL draft.

Irving had a great season in Eugene. Irving earned second-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2023 after rushing for 1,063 yards and 10 touchdowns on 172 carries. Despite being listed a 5’10” 194 pounds. Irving proved to be a strong runner. He ranked ninth nationally with 63 missed tackles forced.

Irving became just the sixth running back in program history to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark in multiple seasons. Jordan James is expected to handle the rushing load in the Fiesta Bowl against Liberty.
