Damian Lillard Named Western Conference Player of the Week for first time in 2021

Damian Lillard did more Damian Lillard things last week, and it earned him the Western Conference Player of the Week honor.

In four games, the Blazers guard averaged 30.3 points, 7.3 assists and 7.0 rebounds per contest. He also shot 46.2 percent from the floor (39.5 percent from three).

Portland went 3-1 in the games, only losing against Indiana after Jusuf Nurkić broke his wrist.

With CJ McCollum and Nurk getting injured, Lillard will be responsible for even more of the Blazers scoring output.

In 81 games without his backcourt mate, Lillard averages 22.3 points, 6.4 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Since 2017-18, Nurkić’s first full season in Portland, Lillard averages 28.3 points, 7.7 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game without the big guy.

This marks the 10th time Lillard has earned Western Conference Player of the Week honors.

Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant was the Player of the Week for the East.
