CFP: Oregon State at No. 15, Oregon at No. 16 in latest playoff rankings

The Oregon State Beavers are No. 15 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday, one spot ahead of their in-state rival Oregon Ducks, who check in at No. 16 as both team’s regular season’s come to an end.

Oregon State erased a three touchdown deficit in the 126th playing of the rivalry game to beat the Ducks 38-34 last Saturday at Reser Stadium.  The victory was the ninth of the season for the Beavers (9-3, 6-3 Pac-12), their most wins since the 2012 season.

Six Pac-12 teams remain in the CFP.  The USC Trojans arrive at No. 4 for the first time this season.  They face Utah in the Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday night in Las Vegas (5 p.m., FOX).  Utah is No. 11 in the Playoff.

The Washington Huskies are No. 12 in the rankings, followed by Oregon State (15), Oregon (16), and UCLA (17).

The final CFP rankings will be revealed on Sun., Dec. 4th, where the playoff participants are finalized, New Year’s Six bowl games awarded, and remaining bowl game matchups set.
