Westbrook officially joins Clippers, ‘looking forward to it’

After a rocky tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers, Russell Westbrook might not even need to change lockers.

Westbrook was introduced Wednesday by the Lakers’ fellow Los Angeles team (and co-arena inhabitants) the Clippers.

“For me, it’s just finding my way to be able to help other guys,” said the 34-year-old former NBA MVP, who is has joined his sixth team in the last five years. “It’s something I truly embrace, and that’s what I will do — make sure I can make the game easy for all these guys that are here, find out their spots, what they like, what they don’t like. And that’s going to be a process for me, but I’m ready for the challenge and looking forward to it.”

Westbrook is expected to debut with the Clippers on Friday against the Sacramento Kings. He is averaging 15.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 7.5 assists this season.
