Transfer Guard LJ Figueroa Granted Eligibility from NCAA, Will Be Available for Oregon Ducks Against Seton Hall

Five months removed since LJ Figueroa announced his decision to transfer to Oregon, Figueroa will finally be able to suit up for the Ducks.

Figueroa, a transfer from St. John’s, was granted an eligibility waiver by the NCAA on Thursday and will take the court for No. 21 Oregon when they face Seton Hall on Friday evening. Figueroa was one of two non-graduate transfers for the Ducks this offseason. He led St. John’s in scoring with 14.6 points per game last season.

With Will Richardson out six weeks due to thumb surgery, Oregon is fortunate to have the help of Figueroa on the court. His addition gives Oregon nine healthy scholarship players for Friday’s game, and pads their depth at the guard position.
