Trail Blazers Top Nets 128-109 For Third Straight Win

The Portland Trail Blazers appear to be playing their best basketball of the season at the right time.

They beat the Eastern Conference-leading Brooklyn Nets 128-109 for their third straight win, all by at least 19 points. More impressively, the team seems to be playing more cohesively on defense.

Not that the Trail Blazers were any slouch offensively. Center Jusuf Nurkic got the scoring going early; scoring 11 of his 23 points in the first quarter. Damian Lillard set the tone in the second half, putting up 16 points in the third quarter on his way to a game-high 32 points. Lillard had gone 11 straight games without reaching the 30 point plateau.

The Trail Blazers hope to continue their hot road trip against the Boston Celtics on Sunday afternoon.
