Timbers Keep It Close But Lose 2-1 To Cincinnati

Dairon Asprilla kept the Timbers in the match but Portland loses a close match in Ohio 2-1 to Cincinnati.

Cincinnati started the scoring out early with a goal in the 34rd minute by Serio Santos. It was 1-0 heading into the half but the Timbers were feeling good as they had numerous scoring opportunities to score in the first half.

But it was Cincinnati again who scored in the 58th minute by a goal by Brandon Vazquez to make it 2-0.

The Timbers answered right back on a great goal by Dairon Asprilla to cut the lead down to one, 2-1.

Portland couldn’t get the equalizier and the match ended up as a loss for the Portland Timbers.
