Timbers Get Draw In Wild Game Against LAFC, 2-2

By 750 THE GAME STAFF

The Timbers finally got off to a good start. The Timbers had been outscored in the first half 7-0 in their past three matches. Somthing that head coach Phil Neville wanted to change. And against LAFC. It chagned.

The scoring started in the 11th minute when Feliepie Mora got a goal off a great pass by Evander.

LAFC answered back with a goal in the 22nd minute by Mateusz Bogusz.

But Evander is the man. The Timbers best player showed why he is one of the best players in the league. Getting the lead back for Porltand in the 34th minute.

Portland started the second half with a 2-1 lead over LAFC.  Then it was a red card by goalie Maxime Crépeau off of a bad pass that led to a free kick by Mateusz Bogusz for his second goal to even the match at 2.

With the Timbers down a man for the final 35+ minutes the Timbers survived numerous scoring chances by LAFC. It ends in a 2-2 draw for the Timbers.

Next up for the Timbers is a match against the defending MLS champions Columbus Crew in Columbus. Pregame at 3:30 p.m. with first kick at 4:30 p.m. on 750 The Game.
