Timbers Draw with Sounders after Seattle Scores in 93rd Minute

The Portland Timbers held a 1-0 lead for 83 minutes, but it wasn’t long enough.

In his first appearance of the year, Andrés Flores scored his first goal of the season in the 10th minute.

Then, in the 93rd minute Seattle snagged the equalizer. Will Bruin collected a loose ball and scored.

The two sides still had time to score, as the game didn’t end until the 98th minute.

Unfortunately, with the draw the Timbers (9-5-5) miss out on three points and the lead in the Western Conference. Instead, Portland and Seattle (9-4-5) remain tied in points (32) for the top spot.

Next Wednesday the Timbers will host LA Galaxy at Providence Park.
