Three Portland Trail Blazers to Represent in NBA All-Star Events
The Portland Trail Blazers will have a player in the Skills Competition, the Dunk Contest and the All-Star Game itself.
You may think I forgot one. Isn’t Damian Lillard in the 3-Point Contest? Not anymore. On Tuesday, Lillard told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports that he won’t be in the event.
Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard tells @YahooSports he has withdrawn from participating in the 3-Point Contest in Atlanta on Sunday for rest purposes.

Lillard will still be the only Blazer in the All-Star Game, but a pair of teammates are joining him in Atlanta next week.
First, Robert Covington is one of six players in the Taco Bell Skills Competition.

The Skills Competition is scheduled for an hour and a half (3:30 p.m. PT) before the All-Star Game on March 7.
Then, Anfernee Simons will participate in the AT&T Slam Dunk Contest.

The Dunk Contest is set for the halftime of the All-Star Game.
Even without Lillard, the Mountain Dew 3-Point Contest should be interesting.

The All-Star festivities start with the 3-Point Contest and Skills Competition before the All-Star Game at 3:30 p.m. PT.
Next, The All-Star Game tips at 5 p.m. PT. Then, the Dunk Contest at halftime of the All-Star Game.
Finally, the second half of the game, and NBA All-Star weekend wraps up in one day.
After the All-Star Break, Portland’s regular season resumes on March 11 at home against Phoenix.
