Rodney Hood will be back in a Trail Blazers uniform next season. ESPNs Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting Hood has signed a two-year $16 million dollar deal to stay in Portland.

Jason Quick of The Athletic is reporting the deal is worth the MLE $5.7 million this season, and has a player option for $6 million next season.

Hood, acquired by the Blazers at the trade deadline from the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaged 9.6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 27 games with Portland. He also played a huge role in the Trail Blazers success in the postseason, arguably being Portland’s MVP in the Denver series.

“I’ve been on record many times saying how much I love it here and I want to be back,” Hood said during exit interviews in May. “But we’ll see how that works out in the summer.”
