Seattle Loses to Cleveland in Walk Off Fashion, 2-1

The Mariners lost a heart breaker in the bottom of the 9th tonight. Cleveland Indians center fielder Tyler Naquin had a pinch hit walk off single that scored Leonys Martin from second, to give the Indians a 2-1 win. Starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi had a masterful performance tonight that was wasted by the Mariner hitters. Kikuchi went seven innings, allowing only three hits, one earned run, and ten strikeouts.

The only Mariner run came from a solo home run to right field by Jay Bruce in the top of the 4th.

Seattle has now lost five straight games, their record is now 18-16 on the year. Up next, they continue their series against Cleveland tomorrow afternoon.
