Pete Carroll is expected to be out as head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The 72-year-old Carroll could remain in the organization, per Schefter, but not as head coach.
Carroll just finished his fourteenth season as Seahawks head coach that included ten playoff appearances, two NFC Championships in back to back seasons, and a Super Bowl victory in the 2013 season.

Schefter adds that Dan Quinn, defensive coordinator of the Cowboys and former Seahawks defensive coordinator, is a potential candidate the Seahawks would be interested in interviewing for the head coach opening.
Seattle is expected to be interested in, amongst others, in Cowboys’ defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, per sources. Quinn worked with Seattle from 2009-2010, and again 2013-14.
