Reaction To DeAndre Ayton Missing Trail Blazers Game Due To Icy Roads In Neighborhood

DeAndre Ayton missed Wednesday night’s Blazers win over the Nets because the ice on his neighborhood streets was too difficult to overcome and he could not make it to the arena.

Trail Blazers reporter Casey Holdahl reported pregame that Ayton “tried to combat the sheet of ice leading out of his neighborhood and the team sent people out to help as well, but to no avail, so he is out for tonight’s game versus Brooklyn.”

Head Coach Chauncey Billups said pregame that Ayton was ready to play but was unable to make it to the arena.

Reaction started pouring in from social media. The Blazers proceeded to beat the Brooklyn Nets 105-103 on a game-winning bucket by Anfernee Simons.
