Pac-12 Apologizes to Stanford for COVID-19 Protocol Mishap Before Game vs. Oregon

Few things went well for Stanford on the field against Oregon last Saturday. Nearly a week later, the Pac-12 apologized to the school for how things went off the field regarding COVID-19 protocols.

Jon Wilner of The Mercury News and ESPN report Stanford starting quarterback Davis Mills is the unnamed player who received the inconclusive test referenced in the Pac-12’s statement.

Stanford was also missing wide receiver Connor Wedington and defensive end Trey LaBounty along with Mills against Oregon. A fourth player was also placed in quarantine, but their name was never announced.

All four players are available for Stanford’s scheduled game against Colorado on Saturday.
