Oregon State falls behind early, can’t mount comeback vs Colorado 73-58 in Pac-12 Tournament quarterfinals

Oregon State fell behind by twenty-one points in the first half, mounted a second-half comeback to get within single-digits, but ultimately fell to the Colorado Buffaloes in the Pac-12 Quarterfinals on Thursday, 73-58.
The Beavers conclude the conference tournament with a brief one-game performance after earning a bye with a top-four seed. Colorado advances to face top-seed Washington in the Pac-12 Tournament semifinals on Friday night.
Tres Tinkle led the Beavers with 23 points, but it came on 21 shots (8-for-21), while senior Stevie Thompson Jr scored just 10 points in his final game as a Beaver (0-for-5 from 3pt).
Oregon State will learn it’s post-season fate sometime next week. We’ll see if the Beavs (18-13, 10-8 P12) will get to the NIT, CBI, or another playoff tournament.
