Oregon Ducks junior wide receiver Dillon Mitchell is forgoing his senior season to enter the NFL Draft, he announced Wednesday.


Mitchell is coming off a terrific season where he set the Oregon Ducks single-season receiving yardage record, totaling 75 catches for 1,184 yards, most in the Pac-12 Conference and the 13-best mark in the country.  He also caught 10 touchdowns.  Mitchell broke Josh Huff’s previous single-season record of 1,140 yards set in 2013.

His 28-yard touchdown catch in the 4th quarter on Monday helped Oregon beat Michigan State 7-6 in the Redbox Bowl.  Mitchell was named Offensive MVP of the game with his 6 catches for 70 yards and the score.
