Oregon Cleans Up Pac-12 Awards; Ionescu Player of the Year, Graves Coach of the Year, Taylor Chavez Sixth Player of the Year

Death. Taxes. Sabrina Ionescu winning Pac-12 Player of the Year.

The Oregon Ducks star, and arguably best college basketball player in America (man or woman), earned her third straight conference player of the year award today. Her coach, Kelly Graves, earned his second consecutive John R. Wooden Pac-12 Coach of the Year award.

Not to be forgotten Taylor Chavez earned the Sixth Player of the Year award for her efforts off the bench this season. The Oregon sophomore is the team’s leading three-point shooter, 47.8 percent. She is also averaging 6.6 points and 1.6 boards per game.

Ruthy Hebard joined Ionescu on the All-Pac-12 team for their fourth straight selection to the 15 player roster. Satou Sabally earned her second All-Pac-12 recognition.

Oregon State’s Mikayla Pivec and Destiny Slocum each earned their second selections to the All-Pac-12 team.

The Ducks Minyon Moore was selected to the five-player All-Defensive Team for a third time. Pivec was named to the  defensive team for the first time in her career. Beaver junior Aleah Goodman was named an All-Defensive honorable mention.

Oregon State’s Taylor Jones earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team, and honorable mentions on both the All-Pac-12 team and the All-Defensive team.
