The Mariners scored the first and the last run of the ball game.

Seattle needed some heroics late. Daniel Vogelbach clubbed a 3-run home run to tie the game at 4 in the eighth inning.

It looked like the Mariners would lose their fifth straight game, after Ramon Laureano hit a solo homer with two outs and a 1-2 count. Oakland takes a 5-4 lead.

The A’s weren’t ready for the Seattle rally. Vogelbach showed up big again with a walk on five pitches. Dee Gordon, whose injured hand keeps him from batting, came in to pinch run for Vogey.

Domingo Santana ripped a double juuuust fair to score Gordon, tying the game at 5. Then, Omar Narvaez shot the ball through the left side of the infield. Santana scored as the ball was thrown off line from left field.

The win snaps the Mariners 4-game losing streak.

Oakland smacked five solo home runs to score all their runs in the game.
