Keanon Lowe to become next head football coach at West Linn HS

Keanon Lowe is a household name, not only in Portland and the state of Oregon, but nationwide, after his courageous heroics to stop a gunman at Parkose high school last spring.

Now, Lowe is moving on from Parkrose for the next phase in his football coaching career.  West Linn high school announced Wednesday that they have hired the former Oregon Ducks standout as their next head football coach.  Lowe replaces Chris Miller, the legendary former Duck and NFL quarterback who coached at West Linn for the last six seasons (2014-19) and is going to the XFL to be offensive coordinator of the Houston Roughnecks.

Lowe was head football coach and a trainer with the track team at Parkrose, a wide receiver for the Oregon Ducks from 2011-14, and a high school star at Jesuit before that.
