Jackson Shelstad Ready To Contribute From Day One

The Oregon Ducks men’s basektabll program is coming off of a disappointing season once again. But things are trending up. The recruiting class is looking great. And one of them is from West Linn High School. Jackson Shelstad, who will be competing in the Nike Hoop Summit for Team USA, will be in Eugene next season and is expected to contribute right away. But is he ready to do that? Lake Oswego head coach and World Team assistant coach, Marshall Cho, says yes, “No question. Should I leave it at that? Absolutely. 100%. I think he could’ve gone down this year. I think his game translates to the next level because he plays the right way. He’s super skilled.”

Cho thinks that when he gets to college he will thrive because better players will be around him, “I think what we’ve seen and the rest of the state is him dominate. But what I think you’re going to see this weekend is him play with other elite players. Not only as a facilitator but he will pick his spots and contribute offensively.”

Ducks basketball fans have a lot to be excited for next season when Jackson Shelstad is in Eugene.
