Edgar Martinez finally makes Baseball’s Hall of Fame

Seattle Mariners legend Edgar Martinez is now Baseball Hall of Famer Edgar Martinez.
The best designated hitter in the history of baseball received well above the minimum threshold of 75% of the votes to reach baseball’s Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2019. Edgar received 85.4% of the vote.
Final HOF voting:
Mariano Rivera 100.0 percent
Roy Halladay 85.4.
Edgar Martinez 85.4.

This while Edgar’s final year of hall of fame eligibility as it was his tenth year on the ballot.
Edgar goes in with fellow classmates: Mike Mussina, Roy Halladay, and Mariano Rivera.
