Connecticut Sun Select Beavs Aleah Goodman No. 30 Overall in WNBA Draft
The Connecticut Sun picked Oregon State’s Aleah Goodman with the sixth pick of the third round, No. 30 overall, during Thursday night’s 2021 WNBA Draft.
Goodman becomes the sixth Beaver selected in the last six WNBA Drafts, and it’s the second straight year an OSU player was picked. Mikayla Pivec went in the third round to Atlanta last year.
Last year, Goodman led the Beavs in several “per game” stats including points (16.2), assists (4.9), steals (1.2) and minutes played (34.9).
Also, she had the best three-point (49 percent) and free throw (85 percent) shooting percentages on the team. Her 49 percent three-point percentage was good enough for second in the nation.
Goodman ends her Oregon State career 16th in women’s basketball history with 1,162 points. She’s also third in Beavs history for career three-pointers (241).
