The Rose Bowl held all the power in if the CFP would be expanded for the final 2 years of it’s contract.ย But the Rose officially reached an agreement that officially makes it so the CFP will be a 12 team field in 2024.ย The first round of the playoff in 2024 will take place the week ending Sat., Dec. 21 with the first round of the playoff being held at school’s home stadiums.
This should be a good thing for the Pac 12.ย If there was a 12 team playoff this year the Oregon State Beavers would be just on the outside of the playoff and they would probably have 2 teams in the playoff with USC and Washington.
