The news has since been confirmed by the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Mark Anderson.

Reports surfaced over the weekend that Arroyo could be a leading candidate for the job with the Runnin Rebels, but those rumors cooled when LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda started surfacing as a primary candidate. However, ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg reported late Tuesday night that conversations between Aranda and UNLV had fell flat, and no official job offer was made. That put Arroyo back in front as a leading contender for the position, and now, it looks to be official.
