Boli Scores Again, Timbers Still Fall To Minnesota 4-1

It was another tough finish for the Timbers on Saturday in Minnesota.

The Portland Timbers lost to Minnesota 4-1 on Saturday night. The Timbers played a good 40 minutes in the first half and the score was tied at zero. Then it all fell apart. In the 43rd minute, it was a Diego Chara own goal to give Minnesota a 1-0 lead. Then in extra time in the first half, star Emanuel Reynoso scored a goal to end the first half 2-0.

The Timbers came out in the second half and looked like a different team. Franck Boli started the scoring for the Timbers with a goal in the 60th minute.

Unfourtnaently for the Timbers, they ran out of gas after trying to mount a comeback. In the 74th minute, the Timbers were attacking but Minnesota got the stop and got a quick fast break goal to give Minnesota a 3-1 lead. And that was the goal that took the air out of the ship of the Timbers. Minnesota added another goal by Reynoso which was super easy. The Timbers just gave up on the match after the goal which made the score 4-1 in favor of Minnesota and Minnesota got the home win over the Timbers 4-1.
