AP Preseason Top-25: Oregon State Beavers Ranked No. 18

By 750 The Game Staff

For the first time since 2013, the Oregon State Beavers are included in the preseason AP Top-25.

The Beavs check in at No. 18 in the rankings. They are among five teams in this last edition of the Pac-12 Conference as we know it to make the AP preseason poll.

USC leads the way at No. 6, Washington is No. 10, Utah is No. 14, and Oregon at No. 15. UCLA received 66 votes but did not make the preseason rankings.

The top five consist of two-time reigning national champion Georgia, followed by Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, and LSU.

The Beavers went 10-3 overall last season and finished No. 17 in the final AP Poll. It was the program’s third ten-win season in its history (2000, 2006). It was the first time since 2012 the Beavers finished the season in the AP Poll.

Oregon State went 6-2 to crack the AP Poll at No. 23 on Oct. 30, 2022, their first AP ranking since 2013.

They lost a close road game to Washington to fall out of the rankings, then won four in a row including a dramatic comeback rivalry win over Oregon and a bowl game domination of Florida to finish 17th in the AP rankings.

Draftkings sets this season’s over-under win total for Oregon State at 8 (Over -135, Under + 115).

The Beavers open the season on Sun., Sept. 3rd visiting San Jose State (12:30 p.m., CBS).
