Week 14 NFL playoff picture

The 2022 NFL season is three-quarters complete. That means the playoff picture is taking shape, with contenders in both conferences looking to not only secure postseason berths but lock up seeding.

The San Francisco 49ers are 3rd in the NFC playoff picture at 8-3, but just lost starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo for the season with a broken ankle in their win over the Miami Dolphins. They now to to Brock Purdy to carry them down the home stretch.

The Seattle Seahawks, coming off of a 27-23 win over the Rams, are 7-5 and currently hold the 7th seed in the NFC playoff picture, just behind the NY Giants (7-4-1).

In the AFC, Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers continue to underwhelm, currently on the bubble and tied with the New England Patriots at 6-6. There are whispers that head coach Brandon Staley may be coaching for his job.
