USC Fires Coach Clay Helton

USC has fired football coach Clay Helton.

Athletic Director Mike Bohn released a statement on Twitter:

The decision to move on from Helton came after a disappointing 42-28 loss to underdog Stanford. Helton finished with a 46-24 career head coaching record at USC, including 19-14 over the last 3+ seasons. Former Ducks assistant Donte Williams takes the coaching reins in the interim.
