In a testament to their exceptional athleticism and prowess, two standout Northwest football players have made their mark on Bruce Feldman’s prestigious annual Freak List for 2024. Oregon defensive lineman Jordan Burch and Portland State quarterback Dante Chachere have both earned their spots, showcasing their impressive physical attributes and performance on the field.

Jordan Burch, Oregon defensive lineman: No. 10 on the List

Jordan Burch, the 6-5 1/8, 295-pound defensive lineman for the Oregon Ducks, continues to establish himself as a dominant force in college football. Burch, who was ranked No. 4 on Feldman’s list last year, has made significant strides this offseason, further enhancing his freakish athletic profile. His vertical jump has soared to 35 inches, and his speed is nothing short of remarkable, hitting 20.75 MPH on the GPS.

Portland State quarterback Dante Chachere has also earned a spot on Feldman’s list, coming in at No. 89. Known for his explosive speed and athleticism, Chachere is one of the fastest quarterbacks in college football, clocking an impressive 4.39 in the 40-yard dash this offseason. At 6-3 and 200 pounds, he’s a formidable presence both in the pocket and on the move.

Chachere’s contributions to the Portland State offense have been substantial, as he has started 22 consecutive games, accumulating nearly 5,000 total yards—both passing and rushing—along with 35 touchdown passes and 19 rushing touchdowns. His vertical jump of 40 inches and broad jump of 10-6 further highlight his dynamic athletic abilities and explosiveness.

As the younger brother of Arizona Cardinals safety Andre Chachere, Dante has proven that the athletic prowess runs deep in the Chachere family.
