Twins Drop Mariners 7-1

The Mariners didn’t get their first, and only, run until the fifth inning. They didn’t even get a hit in the final three innings.
Thursday was not kind to Seattle. The flip side of this is that the Minnesota Twins are a good baseball team, and they’re doing this to plenty of teams.
Minny is 14-7 away from home, and 29-15 overall, so this is no slouch leading the AL Central.
Marco Gonzales struggled in his 5 innings of work, while Martín Pérez was nearly lights out in his 6.2 IP.
Winning Pitcher, (6-1) Martín Pérez: 6.2 IP, 1 ER, 7 K, 4 BB
Losing Pitcher, (5-3) Marco Gonzales: 5.0 IP, 5 ER, 3 K, 2 BB
Seattle and Minnesota play game three of the four-game series. Pregame coverage starts at 6 p.m. on Freedom 970.
