Trail Blazers Fight But Fall At Oklahoma City 109-99 To Snap Three-Game Win Streak

The Trail Blazers entered Wednesday’s game in Oklahoma City as 13-point betting underdogs but hung tough with the Thunder in a 109-99 defeat to snap a three-game win streak. Portland trailed by just a point through three quarters at 70-69. OKC outscored Portland 39-30 in the final period to earn the win.
The Thunder improve to 12-4, just percentage points shy of Golden State (11-3) for top spot in the Western Conference.
Portland is 6-9 overall, third-worst in the West.
The Blazers had six players in double-figures led by Shaedon Sharpe’s 21 points including four made three-pointers.
Rookie Donovan Clingan, starting again in place of the injured Deandre Ayton, had two blocked shots, extending his streak to 15 consecutive games with a blocked shot, tying Bill Walton’s franchise record. Clingan finished with 10 points and 9 rebounds with 2 steals.
Portland continues its five-game road trip Friday at Houston (11-5), then face the Rockets again Saturday. Then it’s off to Memphis and Indiana before returning home to host Sacramento on Black Friday.
