Trail Blazers Extend Anfernee Simons for 4 Years, $100 Million

The Portland Trail Blazers are bringing bring back guard Anfernee Simons on a four-year, $100 million contract extension.

Simons is coming off of a career year in 2021-2022. The 23-year-old averaged 17.3 PPG, 3.9 APG, 2.6 RPG, and shot 40.5% from three. The former 24th pick in the draft has shown significant strides in his four seasons in the NBA.

With this move, Joe Cronin and his staff are identifying Simons as a key piece of the franchises future. He will continue to share the backcourt and learn from Damian Lillard.  Simons will be part of a guard rotation that currently features Lillard, Shaedon Sharpe, Josh Hart, Keon Johnson, and Eric Bledsoe.
