Trail Blazers Crush Cavs 141-105

A 36 point beatdown is a nice way to wrap up a 5-1 road trip.

The Portland Trail Blazers did exactly that Wednesday night, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 141-105 in dominating fashion. Portland was led by Damian Lillard, who had 32 points on 6-10 from behind the 3-point line. Jusuf Nurkic continued his active play, finishing with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists. Starter Norman Powell missed the game with a sore knee, and CJ McCollum had an off night (3-14, 10 points) but Portland got contributions from up and down the roster.

The Trail Blazers now return home and prepare for their first game at Moda Center with fans all season long – they take on the Lakers Friday night.

Odds/ends:

Cleveland’s Collin Sexton is as quick as the come with the basketball in his hand.

Cavs star Kevin Love finished a truly impressive -45 for the game.

Anfernee Simons showed developing court vision, getting out on the break and making a good decision on more than one occasion.
