TRACKER: Trail Blazers finish regular season with sixth-best lottery odds

Updated April 11th

The Portland Trail Blazers finished the season with a 27-55 record.  They finished the season with a 111-80 loss to the Utah Jazz and a 2-21 record since the All-Star break.

They have the sixth-worst record in the NBA and the sixth spot in the NBA Draft Lottery standings is set. They are locked in with a 37.2% chance at the top 4 and 9% chance at the #1 overall pick.

The Blazers possess their natural first-round pick in this year’s NBA Draft.  That pick position will be determined at the Draft Lottery to be held Tues., May 17th.

The Blazers could also possess another first-round pick via the New Orleans Pelicans.  This will transpire if the following takes place:

  • The Pelicans do not advance out of the play-in tournament (April 13th (vs. the San Antonio Spurs) through April 15th (TBD))
  • Their draft pick falls outside the top-4 picks at the Draft Lottery (picks 5-14)

The NBA Draft takes place on Thurs., June 23rd.
