Timbers Win Home Opener 2-1 Over Dynamo

The Portland Timbers had fans in Providence Park for the first time in more than year Saturday night, and the 6,000 in attendance had reason to cheer as the home team dropped the Houston Dynamo 2-1.

After the Dynamo evened things up late in the first half, the Timbers substituted Felipe Mora and Diego Valeri in the second half. The offense showed good form, culminating in a 72nd minute Cristhian Paredes goal off of a Felipe Mora header:
