Timbers unveil 2023 Portland plaid primary jersey

The Portland Timbers today unveiled their 2023 Portland Plaid primary jersey. The kit will make its debut in the Timbers’ 2023 season opener against Sporting Kansas City at Providence Park on February 25 at 7:30 p.m.

The Timbers “Portland Plaid” kit features ponderosa, shadow green, and gold coming together in a plaid clad jersey to reflect the tight-knit relationship between the club and the community. In the club’s 16th jersey, Portland Plaid symbolizes kinship – we’re all cut from the same cloth and no matter where we come from, united in our love for the Timbers.

“Our new primary kit celebrates what this club means to this city, and what this city means to our club,” said Heather Davis, CEO of the Timbers. “We collaborated with our partners at adidas to create something that is uniquely Portland in all the best ways. Every design detail represents how soccer brings us all together for the love of our city and our team.”

The club’s first-ever plaid jersey features gold trim detailing at the sleeve cuffs and collar, as well as adidas’ classic three stripes at the shoulder to bring the look back to the pitch. On the inside of the collar, a two-person crosscut saw – a symbol of teamwork – embraces the Timbers name. The jock tag showcases one of the club’s longest standing traditions – slices of the victory log, surrounded by the words “For the Rose City” and “Portland Timbers”.
