Timbers Thump Galaxy 6-3

After a 10-day layoff, the Timbers were back in action Wednesday night against the LA Galaxy, and they played like a team that took advantage of the extended rest.

After a close first half, the Timbers exploded for four goals in the first 25 minutes of the second half en route to a 6-3 win.

Not to be outdone, Diego Valeri had a beautiful floater over the head of Galaxy goalkeeper David Bingham:

Jeremie Ebobisse (2) and Larrys Mabiala chipped in with goals of their own.

Wednesday’s victory was the Timbers’ fourth consecutive win.
