Timbers sign midfielder Marvin Loria to contract extension

The Portland Timbers announced Wednesday the signing of midfielder Marvin Loria to a multi-year contract extension.

The extension runs through the 2024 season with a club option for 2025.

The 24-year-old Loria is in his fourth season with Portland’s top club after spending the 2018 season with T2.

Loria has made 65 appearances, 31 starts, in his time with the Timbers.  He has scored 4 goals and tallied 9 assists.

Last season, Loria scored two goals to go with a career-high six assists.  The Costa Rica native scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over Sporting Kansas City on June 19th, 2021.

The Portland Timbers (1-2-3, 6 pts) pay a visit to Cascadia rival Vancouver Whitecaps (1-3-1, 4 pts) this Saturday night at BC Place.
