The Portland Timbers announced Tuesday that they have signed Sebastian Blanco to a multi-year contract extension as a designated player.

The 31-year-old Blanco joined the Timbers in 2017, and in three seasons with the club the midfielder/forward has scored 29 goals and added 32 assists in 108 appearances (102 starts) during the MLS regular season, postseason, and U.S. Open Cup play. During the 2019 season, he tallied seven goals and 13 assists.
