The Portland Timbers (3-2-1, 10 pts) received a lot of praise following their ‘MLS is Back’ tournament championship run. However, the Earthquakes also turned some heads with their push to the quarterfinals, where they fell 4-1 to Minnesota United.

Portland is coming off of a tough 3-0 loss to the Seattle Sounders last Sunday, which snapped their eight-match unbeaten streak. The Timbers hope to turn things around in San Jose on Wednesday night.
