The Portland Timbers host Real Salt Lake tomorrow in what many are calling the biggest game in the history of Providence Park. After going on the road on Thanksgiving day, Portland escaped with a 90th-minute victory from a Larrys Mabiala goal.

The Western Conference Final is an unexpected one, with Real Salt Lake the lowest seed in the Western Conference. Portland beat their foes from Utah all three times during the regular season, including a 6-1 thrashing.

Before tomorrow’s matchup, Timbers Head Coach Giovanni Savarese joined the Bald Faced Truth with fill-in host Judah Newby. Newby asked Savarese about Sebastian Blanco’s status going into the massive game, the craziness across both conferences in the MLS, Larrys Mabiala’s heroics this postseason, and who will fill in with an Asprilla absence.

Savarese on Blanco’s availability entering the RSL matchup: “He will be on the bench, he will bring that energy to us.”
