Timbers Fall 3-2 Against Earthquakes Wednesday

Portland brought some offense to the Bay Area in its Wednesday night clash against the San Jose Earthquakes, but ultimately fell 3-2.

Fresh off a historic 7 goal match, the Timbers kept the momentum early with a Christian Paredes goal off of a corner kick in the 18th minute.

San Jose answered back with a pair of goals in the 31st and 44th minutes to claim a 2-1 halftime lead.

Portland converted on another corner kick as Bill Tuiloma climbed the ladder and headed it into the back of the net in the 56th minute.

With a 2-2 score heading into the final 10 minutes, San Jose executed another goal to take the 3-2 lead, and never looked back.

Portland remains at 15 points on the season and will now set its sights on a Sunday night, national TV matchup against Philadelphia on Sunday night at 7:00 P.M.
